Ty Dolla Sign was born Tyrone William Griffin Jr. on the 13th of April 1985, in Los Angeles, California. He is the son of a realtor mother and a multi-instrumentalist father named Tyrone Griffin Sr. who did session work for Death Row Records as well as Rick James. In early 2018 another popular artist Post Malone approached him to feature on his song reckless. Ty made his appearance on that single and it peaked at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Since then he continued to collaborate with artists for their hit singles such as Accelerate by Christina Aguilera, Kids See Ghosts’ single Freeee (Ghost Town Pt 2), and All Mine by Kanye West which was included on West’s breakthrough album ye.  In the summer of 2018, Jay-Z offered Ty to appear on his single Boss featuring Beyonce. The song was included on Jay-Z’s album called Everything Is Love. As a featuring artist, he appeared on Tinashe’s Me So Bad which earned little success in New Zealand, Japan, and Australia.  Ty Dolla Sign then made his appearance on Drake’s fifth studio album entitled Scorpion, before featuring in Lecrae’s single Blessings which was included on Lecrae’s album All Things Work Together.  In October of 2018, Ty teamed up with rapper Jeremih to release their collaborative album under the joint pseudonym MihTy. The project was released under Def Jam Records. Following this, the two continued to drop numerous tracks throughout the year 2018.  The duo also got a chance to perform The Light on the late-night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live in the week leading up to the album’s departure. In mid-2016 Ty Dolla Sign started dating a reality television personality named Kylie Jenner. The two first came to the headlines after the couple was spotted kissing at the Nylon x BCGeneration Young Hollywood Party.
