After his continuous drop, what took everyone into amaze was Chase putting up the biggest highlight of the day during Monday’s practice. That day he didn’t drop a pass at all. After this practice, it is more likely for Bengals coaches to give Chase more runs in the team’s preseason finale but Chase made sure the issue is a thing of the past and overcame the issues on Monday’s practice. Rookie wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase dropped two passes in team practice, which also includes one pass in the hands of safety Vonn Bell during a red zone period. His head coach Zac Taylor said that the expectations for him are so high that people expect him to be a star right away, but it takes time. He also added that one has to put in the extra work to get it perfectly right and that consistency comes over time. Ja’Marr’s head coach Zac Taylor also said that he is just going through some of the things and he expects him to improve over the course of this week. Thus Chase stayed after practice to put on some extra efforts in his game and had practiced passes from different angles and in contested catch situations. Taylor also wished to start a line after Sunday’s preseason finale against Miami. He said that it would be better for everyone if they are going into that final week before the game to have a general idea. He also added that it is not set when this game ends if they will name the starters, but it will be a pretty good idea of what next steps to be taken for Week 1.
